Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the overall financial management of various projects in accordance with the organization's standard operating procedures, policies, accounting principles, and donor regulations
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring spending remains aligned with approved plans
- Prepare cash flow projections and ensure timely, high-quality financial reporting in line with donor requirements
- Support the line manager in ensuring contractual compliance across all active projects
- Work with accuracy in managing and reporting large volumes of financial data for donor-funded projects
Administration, Operations & Coordination:
- Supervise field operations related to administration, logistics, and procurement
- Develop and implement effective financial, administrative, and human resource systems
- Closely coordinate with the line manager to ensure that project accounting, contracts, human resources, IT, and operational requirements are efficiently managed and fulfilled
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification is required. An advanced degree such as an MBA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting software (FAMAS), project operations, and office administration is required. Candidates must also demonstrate experience in leading and managing the financial aspects of donor-funded projects, including a solid understanding of applicable donor rules and regulations.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Demonstrated proficiency in FAMAS accounting software
- Strong experience in financial reporting for donor-funded projects with proven accuracy in handling large datasets
- Sound understanding of donor regulations, contractual compliance, and financial management best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English is required
