Key Responsibilities of Project Officer:
- Create and implement a MEAL strategy for the project to measure performance and effect.
- Prepare the project database and track progress in terms of activities, outputs, results, and effect.
- Create data gathering tools such as surveys (baseline, midline, and endline surveys), feedback systems, and report generators.
- Monitor project activities in schools and communities through frequent field visits.
- Ensure accurate and timely data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Encourage the creation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess project performance.
- Document the project's lessons learned and best practices for learning, sharing, and future programming in the form of case studies, photographs, and videos.
- Prepare timely project reports in accordance with the funding partner's expectations.
- Organize capacity building sessions on M&E tools and processes based on the project staff's needs.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure that impact, result, and output metrics are reported and tracked.
Required Qualification and Experience for Project Officer:
- Bachelor's degree in education, development studies, social science, or a related discipline, with at least two years of experience in the education sector or development initiatives.
- Experience working in rural communities, ideally in Solukhumbu or a comparable geographical location.
Required Skill & Knowledge for Project Officer:
- Excellent facilitation, training, and capacity-building abilities are required.
- Excellent skills in community development, empowerment, networking, lobbying, and advocacy. Effective team play.
- Effective communication, analytical ability, and report writing abilities.
- Excellent grasp of Nepal's educational system and policies.
