About Nepal Disabled Women Association (NDWA):

Nepal Disabled Women Association (NDWA) is a non-government organization established in 1998 (2054 BS), led by women with disabilities. The organization works for the empowerment of women with disabilities (WWDs) to ensure their fundamental rights through programs in education, health, livelihood, rehabilitation, and meaningful participation.

NDWA promotes inclusion and equality by supporting women with disabilities from diverse backgrounds, including Dalit and Madhesi communities, to enhance their self-esteem, confidence, and socio-economic participation. Guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, NDWA advocates for education, employment, health, social security, and rehabilitation rights for WWDs across Nepal.

Inclusive Education Campaigner Job Vacancy at Nepal Disabled Women Association (NDWA)

  • Programme: Accelerating Civil Society’s Role in Securing Education for All (ACCESS)
  • Location: Parsa District, Madhesh Province
  • Duration: 10 Months (with possibility of extension)
  • Reports to: Provincial GEDSI Trainer – ACCESS

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support project implementation at the district level under the guidance of GEDSI Trainer.
  • Coordinate with local governments, education stakeholders, and CSOs.
  • Conduct awareness campaigns and training promoting inclusive education.
  • Monitor field-level progress and document best practices and success stories.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of children, people with disabilities, and vulnerable populations.
  • Represent NDWA in local forums and facilitate coordination among partners.

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • +2 (Intermediate) or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with I/NGOs.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of inclusive education, GEDSI, and community mobilization.
  • Local language skills (Bajika, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Tharu) will be an advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication in Nepali and English.
