Key Responsibilities:

Training Operations & Programme Management:

  • Manage and supervise the overall day-to-day operations of the National Training Centre Kavre to ensure smooth and effective functioning
  • Develop and implement annual and monthly training plans, objectives, budgets, and training calendars
  • Design, organise, and ensure the quality implementation of technical, vocational, and soft skills training programmes
  • Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of training programmes, using participant feedback to drive improvements in effectiveness and quality

Staff & Trainee Management:

  • Supervise trainers and support staff, maintain workplace discipline, and support professional development across the team
  • Manage the trainee selection process and monitor attendance, discipline, and learning progress throughout training cycles
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all participants

Administration, Finance & Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Manage financial, administrative, and asset-related responsibilities, including the proper maintenance of facilities and equipment
  • Coordinate with partners and stakeholders, and support employment follow-up for programme graduates where applicable
  • Report regularly to the National Director of SOS Children's Villages Nepal on programme performance and operational matters

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • A minimum of a Master's degree in any discipline, with at least a second division or its equivalent from a recognised university, is required. Candidates who completed their studies at a non-Nepalese educational institution must provide an equivalence certificate from the relevant government agency.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in managing training programmes, learning and development initiatives, or a training facility is required, preferably in a managerial capacity. Candidates must demonstrate experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programmes. Prior experience working with children and young people will be considered an added advantage.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with a capacity to manage complex training operations
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring abilities
  • Ability to develop training materials, monitor learning outcomes, and drive continuous programme improvement
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical, reporting, and programme management capabilities
  • Proficiency in both English and Nepali, written and spoken
  • Sound computer literacy
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
