Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Mobilization
    1. Organize local communities and form groups or committees
    2. Actively engage community members in development activities
    3. Facilitate community participation in project implementation
  2. Awareness Enhancement
    1. Spread awareness in communities on topics including health, education, gender equality, sanitation, and climate change
    2. Conduct community meetings and awareness campaigns
    3. Promote behavioral change through information dissemination
  3. Data Collection and Reporting
    1. Collect necessary data from the field
    2. Conduct household surveys and assessments
    3. Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports
    4. Maintain proper documentation of field activities
  4. Facilitation and Coordination
    1. Coordinate with local government, social organizations, and stakeholders
    2. Support program implementation through effective collaboration
    3. Build and maintain relationships with community leaders
  5. Training and Orientation
    1. Support organization of capacity building trainings for community groups
    2. Facilitate community meetings and orientation sessions
    3. Assist in preparing training materials and resources
  6. Inclusion
    1. Ensure rights and participation of target groups including women, Dalits, indigenous communities, and persons with disabilities
    2. Implement activities in accordance with GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion) principles
    3. Promote inclusive development approaches
  7. Fundraising
    1. Mobilize resources for projects and programs
    2. Seek support for social, educational, health, or relief activities
    3. Contribute to fundraising efforts for organizational operation, development, or expansion

Required Qualification & Experience:

  • Educational Qualification
    • Minimum: Intermediate (10+2) passed
    • Preferred: Candidates studying Bachelor's in Rural Development or Sociology
    • Preferred: Minimum certificate level in JTA, JT, or similar subjects
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in community mobilization or social work
    • Experience working with NGOs/INGOs preferred

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Nepali, English, and local languages
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse communities
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel)
  • Ability to operate smartphone for data collection and reporting
  • Valid two-wheeler driving license preferred
  • Ability to work primarily in field locations
  • Report to Project Coordinator or concerned officer
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently under supervision
  • Willingness for frequent travel to project sites
