Responsibilities of Deputy Chief Executive Officer:
- Assist the CEO in managing all aspects of I.M.E. Life, including strategy formulation, policy-making, business planning, development, operations, reinsurance, product innovation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with the CEO to execute company operations, compliance, financial strategies, and business development initiatives to achieve organizational goals and profitability.
- Collaborate with the CEO in decision-making processes and contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans.
- Identify growth opportunities and innovations within the life insurance sector in Nepal.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency across various departments such as sales, underwriting, claims, customer service, finance, IT, research & development, and risk & compliance.
- Monitor financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting to achieve financial targets.
- Provide leadership to senior management and staff, fostering a positive work culture and talent development.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including regulators, partners, clients, and industry associations.
- Stay updated on industry developments, particularly in technology and innovation, and implement measures to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical conduct.
Required Qualification for Deputy Chief Executive Officer:
- Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or economics.
- At least 15 years of experience in senior management roles in the life insurance sector, with exposure to areas such as underwriting, reinsurance, claims, actuarial valuation, pricing, IT, digitization, human resources, administration, risk & compliance, and business development.
Required Skills & Knowledge for Deputy Chief Executive Officer:
- Strong knowledge of life insurance products, operations, business development, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
