About Us:

Ratauli Yuwa Club, in partnership with Save the Children, is implementing a Sponsorship Program in Mahottari district. We are dedicated to enhancing maternal, neonatal, and child health (MNH), school health and nutrition (SHN), and adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH).

Job Summary:

The Field Officer (FO) will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of MNH, SHN, and ASRH activities within the Sponsorship Project. The FO will support the Program Coordinator and guide Community Mobilizers, ensuring effective program execution and high-quality community mobilization.

Responsibilities of Field Officer:

  • Program Planning and Implementation:
    • Assist the Program Coordinator in planning, executing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting all activities related to MNH, SHN, and ASRH.
    • Develop monthly action plans and support Community Mobilizers in their execution.
    • Ensure timely and effective implementation of project activities according to the work plan.
    • Manage and support Community Mobilizers in implementing activities in designated wards.
    • Track and manage the project budget and ensure proper financial documentation.
    • Supervise and support project staff, ensuring high-quality training and workshops.
    • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to address implementation challenges and successes.
    • Build professional relationships with stakeholders including government agencies, media, civil society, and donor agencies.
    • Represent the project in meetings, seminars, and workshops as necessary.
    • Organize regular coordination meetings and feedback sessions with program staff.
    • Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment for project activities.
    • Communicate challenges and training needs to the Program Coordinator.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, Coordination, and Reporting:
    • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and supervise staff performance.
    • Collect and compile best practices, lessons learned, and success stories for reporting.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools.
    • Maintain regular contact with stakeholders for synergistic implementation.
    • Set performance targets for supervised staff and conduct periodic evaluations.
    • Identify and coordinate capacity-building programs for staff improvement.
    • Review data collected by Community Mobilizers for consistency and reporting.
    • Assist in writing monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports.
    • Organize monthly monitoring with programmatic checklists and develop actionable reports.
    • Support the Program Coordinator in maintaining the Monitoring/Issue Log Book.
  • Safeguarding:
    • Ensure program staff understand and adhere to RYC's safeguarding policies, including
    • Child Protection, Protection from Sexual Abuse & Exploitation, and Anti-Harassment policies.
    • Report protection concerns in line with safeguarding policies.
    • Ensure visibility of the Child Protection Policy and other safeguarding measures at activity locations.
  • Well-being:
    • Ensure staff comfort and well-being, addressing challenges and specific needs with the Project Coordinator.
    • Demonstrate and implement the 'Do No Harm' approach in all activities.

Required Qualification & Experience for Field Officer:

  • Graduate in Health (B. Sc. Nursing, BPH, B.Ed. Health .. ) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the field of health, nutrition, child rights, child protection.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in planning and implementation and project management etc.
  • Experienced in coordination with stakeholders, report writing, training editing, supervision etc.

Required Skills for Field Officer:

  • Having practical computer knowledge and ability to create, implement and track budgets.
