Land Planning Associate Job Description:

As a Land Planning Associate, you will contribute to the promotion of sustainable land management and secure land tenure for vulnerable populations in Nepal. Your role will involve collaborating with local and international partners to execute projects supporting sustainable development, land reform, and climate-smart practices.

Key Responsibilities of Land Planning Associate:

Under the guidance of the Project Coordinator and UN Habitat Program Manager, you will:

  1. Assist in conducting surveys and participatory enumerations for landless individuals and informal settlers.
  2. Support the planning process for land use and climate-smart agriculture initiatives.
  3. Identify opportunities for regreening activities and climate-smart agricultural practices.
  4. Document project learnings and case studies as best practices for wider dissemination.
  5. Prepare knowledge products and social media outreach posts highlighting project activities and successes.
  6. Aid in the translation of materials into Korean and facilitate communication with Korean donors and partners.

Required Qualification & Experience for Land Planning Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Land Administration, Geomatics Engineering, Agriculture, Rural/Urban Development, Development Studies, or related fields.
    Experience: 1 year of experience in or demonstrated interest in Land Use and Management, Urban Planning, or Climate Smart Agriculture.
