Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Head of Government Liaison and Compliance based in Kathmandu.

The Role:

As the Head of Government Liaison and Compliance, you will be a crucial part of the Government Liaison and Compliance team. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance in programs and operations, managing audits in the country office, cultivating relationships with government entities, and minimizing security risks for staff and visitors.

What We Are Looking For:

This position collaborates across support services, programs, and partnerships teams to support risk management. The successful candidate will be accountable for developing and overseeing policies and programs aimed at mitigating or reducing compliance, security, and reputational risks.

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Business Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, including 3 years in the development sector.
  • Familiarity with Nepal and International Audit Standards.
  • Track record of effectively working with the government of Nepal.
  • Excellent facilitation, analytical, and advisory skills.
  • Experience with audits of multi-donor contract finances.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for positive change.
  • Knowledge of financial procedures of major donor agencies (e.g., EC, ECHO, CDO, DFAT, SDC, SIDA, etc.).
  • Understanding or appreciation of Nepal in terms of its political, economic, and social trends.
  • Experience in security management.
  • Commitment to the aims, objectives, and organizational culture of Oxfam.
