The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has been actively contributing to development initiatives in Nepal on behalf of the South Korean Government. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Nepali national to join our team as a Program Officer at KOICA's Nepal Office in Jwagal, Lalitpur.
Vacancy Highlight's:

- Contract Duration: 3-month probation period, with annual renewal based on performance review
- Duty Station: KOICA Nepal Office, Jwagal, Lalitpur (includes frequent visits to project sites)
- Office Hours: Full-Time (9:00 am - 5:00 pm), Monday to Friday
- Start Date: June 3, 2024
Responsibilities of Program Officer:
- Assist the Country Director (CD), Deputy Country Director (DCD), and Assistant Country Director (ACD) in various tasks.
- Manage and coordinate KOICA's Country Projects and ODA Programs, including documentation, networking, and liaising with ministries and stakeholders.
- Oversee project progress, follow-ups, necessary interventions, meetings, program reviews, and maintain contacts and networks related to KOICA's ODA programs.
- Handle VAT refund processes for KOICA Nepal Office projects.
- Conduct administrative duties related to KOICA Country Projects.
- Maintain positive relationships with ministries, Korean organizations, project management committees, and other stakeholders.
- Undertake sector-specific research, especially in agriculture, health, environment, or related fields as assigned by CD/DCD/ACD.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Required Qualification & Experience for Program Officer:
- Master's Degree in Agriculture, Health, Environment, or related development disciplines.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management within the agriculture, health, environment, or related development sector.
Required Skills for Program Officer:
- Fluency in Korean language skills (speaking, listening), with proficiency in writing being advantageous.
- Academic background from Korean universities is a plus.
- Strong communication and translation skills.
- Proficient in Nepali and English (speaking and writing reports).
- Nepali citizen with good health.
- Multi-tasking abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
