- Duty Station: 60% fieldwork (Kavrepalanchwok, Ramechhap, Sindhupalchwok) and 40% Kathmandu
Responsibilities of Program Officer:
- Project Implementation
- Ensure effective program implementation in Kavrepalanchwok, Ramechhap, and Sindhupalchwok.
- Monitor and adjust project plans according to changing contexts.
- Supervise project team members and ensure adherence to budget and timeline.
- Health Advocacy and Awareness
- Develop networks with stakeholders and advocate for community health.
- Create and disseminate Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials.
- Promote access to quality health services for farmers and communities.
- Reporting, Monitoring, and Evaluation
- Conduct field visits to monitor project quality.
- Implement monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Analyze program results and contribute to reports.
- Representation and Coordination
- Coordinate with authorities and external partners.
- Represent MdM at meetings and events.
- Prepare meeting minutes and disseminate relevant information.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in field assessments and project proposals.
- Contribute to the development of the country strategy.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualification & Experience for Program Officer:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in public health/nursing or related field (essential).
- Master's degree in public health/sociology (desirable).
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in NGO/INGO or public health sector.
- Experience in program planning, budgeting, and evaluation.
- Proficiency in working with communities and partners.
Required Skills & Knowledge for Program Officer:
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other communication tools.
- Fluent in Nepali and English (both oral and written).
Salary & Benefit for Program Officer:
- Salary: Rs 153,000 NPR per month
