Research Assistant Job Description:

In partnership with the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), USA, our organization is implementing the RESHAPE program in Pokhara Metropolitan City, Gandaki Province. Collaborating with Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, our objective is to provide mental health training to primary health workers. We seek local research assistants in Pokhara, Kaski District, for data collection. Interested applicants meeting qualifications are invited to apply within the given timeframe.

Roles & Responsibilities of Research Assistant:

  • Select participants for research in health institutions and communities, ensuring proper consent.
  • Coordinate with government and non-governmental agencies for organized research.
  • Maintain high-quality data collection and statistics.
  • Assist in translating research materials and questionnaires.
  • Conduct research systematically and regularly.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and submit regular reports.

Required Qualification &  Experience for Research Assistant:

  • Pursuing or completed BA, BEd, BPH, or related studies.
  • Freshers are encourage to apply.

Required Skills for Research Assistant:

  • Experience in community-level studies and research preferred.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work outside office hours and in remote areas.
  • Proficiency in computer and tablet usage.
  • Familiarity with quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods preferred.
  • Knowledge of data collection software like Redcap, ODK advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and Nepali, with a preference for simple language usage.
