About WHO-IPD:
WHO-IPD has been a key player in supporting the Government of Nepal in areas of vaccine preventable disease surveillance and immunization. With a commitment to achieving regional health goals, WHO-IPD has played a pivotal role in eliminating various preventable diseases.
Objectives of the Programme: The WHO-IPD is actively involved in the Measles and Rubella (MR) Elimination program in the South-East Asia Region. To accelerate progress towards MR elimination, Nepal plans to conduct a nationwide MR campaign in early 2024. Differentiated strategies will be implemented in 24 high-risk districts, and catch-up vaccinations will be administered to integrate un- and under-vaccinated children into the routine system.

Description of Duties:
As a Driver at WHO-IPD, you will:
- Safely drive office vehicles and perform related activities for the Immunization Preventable Disease Programme, including the transportation of lab specimens, vaccines, documents, and other items.
- Drive throughout the country as required and chauffeur IPD staff and authorized personnel.
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and preventive maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Maintain administrative control of the vehicle, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting any incidents according to WHO protocols.
- Be ready for duty travel or reassignment on short notice as per program requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Essential: Middle Level education (at least 8th standard)
- Must hold a valid driving license for a light motor vehicle (car, jeep, delivery van, etc.)
Experience:
- Essential: 3 years of work experience as a driver with a demonstrated safe driving record.
- Desirable: Experience in driving various types of vehicles, defensive driving, and working with international organizations.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have a valid driving license and good eyesight.
- Sound knowledge of driving rules, vehicle maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Familiarity with the topography of the duty station and surrounding areas.
- Ability to use communication tools such as radio, email, and telephone.
- Client-oriented approach, responsibility, courtesy, and tact.

REMUNERATION:
Monthly Salary: NPR 57,246.00 at a single rate (taxable as per Nepal Government laws and appointment will be through Special Services Agreement (SSA)) Grade: SSA Level 2 Duty Station: Any of WHO-IPD Field Offices (Outside Valley)
