1. Conservation Ecologist

We are looking a Conservation Ecologists to support the Nepal Country Office management in keeping with the good science on which our conservation delivery is founded with PhD in wildlife ecology or conservation biology and At least 5 years of previous experience in conservation sector of Nepal.

The major responsibilities of Conservation Ecologist is In charge of data management, analysis, reporting, and publishing. Technical capacity development for ZSL and partner employees Assist in the development of project concepts and proposals. Project planning and execution, particularly the research component, Maintain contacts with the government and other non-governmental organizations.

2. Results Management Officer

Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is looking for Results Management Officer to support the development of result-based monitoring system, support in implementation of project aligning with the indicators and objectives, tracking the impacts of ongoing projects focusing on the western terai complex, create an efficient data management system along with regular evaluation and presentation of the findings with reflections and recommendations on the way forward. Candidates must have Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Environment science, environment management, forestry, or other relevant discipline) 2 years of relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree.

The Crucial Duties of Results Management Officer are Create project-specific standard templates for baseline and effect surveys. Collect and analyze data on wildlife distribution within PAs and forest corridors, as well as Human Wildlife Conflict (HWC) occurrences. Collect and analyze community attitude and understanding of wildlife, as well as economic levels in targeted neighborhoods. Collect data on the consequences of linear infrastructure and habitat fragmentation on wildlife using surveys, consultations, key informant interviews (KII), and focus group discussions (FGD). Identify, monitor, and assess program and project goals, intended results, outputs, and output, and connect them with key performance indicators and their accompanying activities to ensure project interventions are meaningful and long-term.

3. Programme Officer

 Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is looking for Programme Officer to lead the implementation of projects in Banke Bardia Shukla Complex (BBSC) in coordination with local implementation partners and other key stakeholders including Department of National Parks and Wildlife Reserve (DNPWC) and local communities with Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Environment science/management, forestry, wildlife, natural resource management or other relevant discipline); 2 years of work experience in conservation accepted in lieu of masters’ degree.

The Programme Officer is responsible for Lead the development of field implementation strategies for ongoing BBS challenging projects. Lead the collection and presentation of significant results from data obtained on wildlife migration and dispersal, the current state of Human Wildlife Conflict (HWC), and mitigation measures for HWC. Maintain positive working connections with the DNPWC, local implementation partners, local communities, and other essential stakeholders.Prepare and submit optimum livelihood programs intervention in accordance with project agreement and scope. Based on the results of socioeconomic surveys, create an integrated livelihood and recovery program implementation strategy. Maintain consistent contact with project partners, the local community, and other stakeholders. Keep track of project activities, implementation plans, and the project's timeframe.

4. Field Programme Officer

Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is looking for Field Programme Officer contribute to the effective implementation of projects in Banke Bardia Shukla Complex (BBSC) in coordination with local partners and will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring and reporting of ZSL's projects carried out in BBS complex. Candidates must have Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Environment science/management, forestry, wildlife, natural resource management or other relevant discipline); 2 years of work experience in conservation accepted in lieu of masters’ degree.

Field Programme Officer is responsible for Create and carry out baseline and impact surveys on wildlife dispersal. Create research, gather and analyze data, and write reports. Analyze data and make recommendations for the best livelihood strategies to be implemented. Based on the results of the socioeconomic survey, create an integrated livelihood and recovery program implementation strategy. Maintain open lines of communication with project partners, the local community, and other stakeholders. Ensure project activity implementation and tracking. Coordination and facilitation of capacity-building workshops for park administrators, implementing partners, and other important stakeholders. Keep an eye on the project's budget. Prepare reports in accordance with the project's requirements. Prepare a detailed plan for selecting, training, and mentoring Human Wildlife Co-existence champions (HWCx).Create a HWCx and livelihood restoration strategy and assist the community in putting it into action.

5. Programme Associate

Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is looking for Programme Associate to support Field/ Programme Officer (FPO/PO) in the implementation of programme and projects in Banke Bardia Shukla Complex (BBSC) with Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Environment science/management, forestry, wildlife, natural resource management or other relevant discipline).

This position is responsible for Prepare field implementation strategies for ongoing BBS complicated programs and initiatives. Collect data on wildlife migration and dispersal, the state of Human Wildlife Conflict (HWC), and the development of mitigation measures for HWC. Prepare materials on best practices from past projects and make intervention recommendations. Visit local communities and consult with them about the suggested measures. Conduct surveys to compare baseline data with data after interventions and to establish key performance indicators. Organize training workshops for park administrators, implementation partners, and other relevant stakeholders. Perform any other tasks as given by the line manager.

6. HR Manager

Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is looking for HR Manager to oversee HR in Nepal supporting managers to recruit, retain and coach managers to enable effective people management with Educated to Master's degree level in HR or business management or related subject area, or equivalent qualification, or demonstrate such a level of equivalent qualifications and experience through relevant practical work experience.

HR Manager is responsible for Assist managers in efficiently recruiting employees and contractors.
Assist with new team member introduction, orientation, and onboarding. Ensure that checks (right to work checks, references, police checks, and qualification checks) are conducted and maintained up to date for Nepal office workers.  Provide experienced human resource advice in accordance with Nepalese labor legislation. Assist the Country Director and Senior HR Business Partner in implementing people initiatives and projects such as pay structure development, wellness programs, and successful blended working. Assist managers with employee relations issues such as grievances and disciplinary actions. Make certain that contract renewals are filed and authorized on time. Create, adjust, and socialize HR rules, and maintain the employee handbook up to date. Assist the Country Manager in keeping the crisis management process and procedure up to date and communicating it.
