Training Administrative Assistant (TAA)Job Description:

The Training Administrative Assistant (TAA) plays a crucial role in supporting the administration, logistics, and financial management of the Pre-service Training (PST) for Peace Corps Trainees (PCTs) in Nepal. Under the supervision of the Training Coordinator and in collaboration with various Peace Corps/Nepal staff, the TAA is responsible for logistics management, budgeting, inventory control, and overseeing cash disbursement. This role requires a high level of energy, flexibility, and creativity.

Role Overview:

  • Required No: 1 (One)
  • Location: Outside of Kathmandu, Nepal
  • Work Hours: Six-day work week, including holidays. Work hours are not limited to 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Reports to: Training Coordinator

Responsibilities of Training Administrative Assistant (TAA):

  • Logistics Management: Arrange training site requirements, including housing, transportation, and supplies.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgeting, cash flow, and disbursements; Prepare and submit financial reports.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with various staff to ensure smooth training operations; conduct information sessions for trainees.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and inventory control.
  • Administrative Support: Prepare documents, manage mail distribution, and maintain participant records.

Required Qualification & Experience for Training Administrative Assistant (TAA):

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of administrative support experience.

Desired Qualifications for Training Administrative Assistant (TAA):

  • Experience in managing office operations and coordinating with vendors.
  • Experience in inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Experience in making travel arrangements and managing schedules.
  • Experience working with marginalized communities in Nepal.
  • Familiarity with rural village settings in Nepal.
