Major Duties and Responsibilities of Economist/Learning Assessment Analyst:

  • Collaboration and Campaign Execution (50%)
    • Create creative briefs and content blueprints for digital campaigns that include the objectives, target audience, key messages, and intended outcomes.
    • Create interesting social media posts, images, and videos in Nepali and English that are consistent with campaign objectives.
    • Collaborate with designers, videographers, other DOC Team members to create high-quality multimedia content.
    • Form alliances with influencers, organizations, and stakeholders to broaden campaign reach.
    • Use social media advertisements and boosted posts to increase campaign visibility.
      Organize and carry out online events, webinars, and live broadcasts to engage the audience and promote USAID/Nepal's efforts.
    • Create and maintain a content schedule to ensure timely and consistent content distribution across digital platforms.
  • Compliance and Performance Monitoring (25%)
    • Conduct content audits to verify compliance with USAID branding and quality requirements.
    • Maintain a database of approved digital materials that the team may access.
    • Create content style guides and templates to ensure uniformity.
    • Implement accessibility standards to promote inclusion.
    • Monitor and reply to online reviews, comments, and communications with professionalism.
    • Perform keyword research and SEO to boost search ranks.
    • Use web analytics to monitor user activity and inform content strategy.
    • Prepare frequent performance reports with critical metrics and insights.
    • Conduct a competitive study to assess performance and find areas for improvement.
    • Set up data privacy and security safeguards.
    • Create and implement crisis communication strategy.
    • Stay informed on digital trends, technology, and best practices.
  • Digital Content Strategy (15%)
    • Participate in strategy sessions to connect digital material with overall communication objectives.
    • Collaborate with the communication team to connect digital and offline initiatives.
    • To design digital content strategy, consider your target audience, communication objectives, and key performance indicators.
    • Implement SEO tactics and user engagement enhancement.
    • Stay informed on digital marketing trends, best practices, and upcoming technology.
  • Mission & Partner Support (10%)
    • Provide instruction on digital communication and content production.
    • Create and communicate criteria for consistent digital content.
    • Offer continuing assistance and advise on content development, digital technologies, and new trends.

Required Qualification & Experience for Economist/Learning Assessment Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in psychometrics, economics, or statistics. 
  • 3 years of expertise in psychometrics, economics, or statistics; knowledge in the field of learning evaluation is advantageous.

Required Skill & Knowledge for Economist/Learning Assessment Analyst:

  • Proficient with statistical software.
  • Knowledge of educational indicators, particularly learning outcomes, is useful.
  • Familiarity with VBA for Excel is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including writing and reporting.
  • Precision and professionalism in document creation and editing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of partners.
  • Experience using communication tools for development.
  • Adaptability and professionalism under difficult situations.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), email, internet, and database administration.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously under tight deadlines.
  • Awareness of security protocols.
  • Interest in international development, education, volunteerism, and the United Nations system; prior work with UNICEF or other UN organizations is advantageous.

Age Requirements:

  • 18 year to not exceeding 80
