Chauffeur Job Description:
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Chauffeur. This vacancy is open to all interested applicants. The work schedule for this position is full-time, 48 hours per week. The candidate must be able to start working within a reasonable period after receiving agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications.

Duty & Responsibilities of Chauffeur:
- Operate the U.S. Mission's motor vehicles safely and efficiently to transport passengers and/or cargo.
- Prepare trip reports, vehicle use, and fuel logs.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Perform basic vehicle inspection in accordance with established schedules and policies.
- Act as a messenger as and when needed.
Required Qualification & Experience for Chauffeur:
- Education: Completion of primary level education is required.
- Experience: At least three years of professional driving experience is required.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Language for Chauffeur:
- Skills and Abilities: Must hold a valid driver's license (Class B, F, and G). Ability to read maps and plan driving routes. Good verbal communication skills and the ability to handle all persons with professionalism and discretion. Basic vehicle inspection and intermediate automotive maintenance skills. Basic computer skills for maintaining reports and communication purposes.
- Job Knowledge: Good working knowledge of the city, including driving routes and traffic patterns.
- Language: Limited knowledge of spoken, reading, and writing English is required. Good working knowledge of spoken and reading Nepali language is required.
Salary & Benefit for Chauffeur:
- Salary: NPR ₨. 8, 40,116 per year
