About YAC Nepal:
Youth Acting for Change Nepal (YAC Nepal) is a non-political, non-profit social development organization established in 2000 AD by dedicated young professionals with extensive experience in social development. Registered in the District Administration Office, Kailali, YAC Nepal has been active in Sudurpaschim Province since 2004, focusing on promoting the Human Right to Food, improving the livelihoods of poor, vulnerable, and socially excluded people through community-led actions for governance and justice. .
Project Overview:
In partnership with CARE Nepal, iDE Nepal, and MAP International, YAC Nepal is implementing the Mother and Child Wellbeing (MCW) project in Kailali district. This project leverages technical and managerial expertise in executing food, nutrition, health, WASH, market systems, and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) sectors.
Health Officer Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Health Officer to support the MCW project. The role involves managing health-related activities, improving nutrition and WASH systems, and collaborating with local and provincial government structures.

Responsibilities of Health Officer:
- Manage health-related activities for the MCW project.
- Improve nutrition systems.
- Enhance WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) systems.
- Collaborate with local government structures.
- Work with provincial government structures.
Required Qualification & Experience for Health Officer:
- Bachelor's degree in public health, nutrition, nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in food, nutrition, WASH, and health system improvement.
Required Skills & Knowledge for Health Officer:
- Knowledge and understanding of key health and nutrition issues and solutions.
- Experience in report writing, strong communication skills, and ability to work with government structures.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with excellent facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in computer and office software packages.
- Preferred: Candidates from Kailali district with previous experience in CARE/iDE projects.
