Driver Job Description:

Join us in providing safe and dependable transportation services for Helen Keller International Nepal Lumbini, Rupandehi Field Office under the Transforming Lives through Nutrition Project. Your role involves driving office vehicles while strictly following safety protocols, office policies, and government regulations. Technical expertise in vehicle maintenance, basic computer skills, and familiarity with safety protocols are essential.

  • Location: Rupandehi Field Office, Lumbini Province, with frequent travel to Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta Paschim), and Dang.

Responsibilities of Driver:

  • Ensure adherence to Helen Keller International's standards, encompassing ethical conduct, policy compliance, financial integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Implement rigorous monitoring and evaluation processes to maintain quality assurance and achieve optimal program outcomes.
  • Play a crucial role in integrating gender and social inclusion (GESI) principles into all aspects of our work, promoting inclusivity and equity.

Required Qualification & Experience for Driver:

  • General literacy
  • Valid driving license and a minimum of 5 years' experience driving 4X4 vehicles with a clean record.
  • Prior experience working in respective districts and provinces, with preference given to candidates from Lumbini Province.

Required Skills & Knowledge for Driver:

  • Technical proficiency in vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of MS Word, spreadsheets, email, and data entry.
  • Nepali citizenship and PAN registration are mandatory.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, first aid, fire safety, incident reporting, and road safety.
  • Proficiency in operating vehicle GPS systems.
  • Familiarity with government ministries, departments, and official document procedures.
  • Basic English proficiency; Fluency in local languages is advantageous.
