Driver Job Description:

The Driver plays a crucial role in providing reliable and safe driving services to IFAD staff, officials, and visitors. With a client-oriented approach and attention to detail, the Driver ensures efficient vehicle maintenance and supports logistical operations.

Responsibilities of Driver:

1.Driving Services and Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Safely transport IFAD personnel, officials, and visitors, ensuring punctuality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logs and contribute to vehicle maintenance plans to ensure cost-saving measures.
  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and ensure the availability of necessary documents and supplies.

2.Supporting Logistical Services:

  • Provide travel support and administrative assistance to IFAD staff traveling domestically and internationally.
  • Manage mail distribution, ensuring timely dispatch and accurate record-keeping.

3.Managerial Functions:

  • Uphold integrity and transparency in managing IFAD resources, adhering to organizational values and code of conduct.
  • Demonstrate accountability in administering IFAD resources and maintaining high standards of professionalism.

4.Key Performance Indicators:

  • The Driver's performance directly impacts the accuracy, safety, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness of IFAD's regional services.

5.Working Relationships:

  • The Driver collaborates closely with IFAD staff, external partners, and stakeholders to facilitate efficient logistical operations.

Required Qualification & Experience for Driver:

Education:

  • High school diploma.

Experience:

  • Minimum one year of driving experience with a safe driving record.
  • Familiarity with driving rules and regulations, preferably in a multicultural or global organization.

Required Skills for Driver:

  • Security management knowledge.
  • Proficiency in defensive driving and risk management.
  • Adaptability and initiative in handling complex situations.
  • Effective verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Languages: English (Good), Nepali (Excellent)
  • Desirable: French, Spanish, or Arabic (Good)
