TaRL Instructor Job Description:

As a Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) Instructor, you will primarily be responsible for building the capacity of teachers, educators, and trainers. Additionally, you will monitor the project activities of the "Build the Basics Project" executed by Aasaman Nepal and Street Child. Your role involves designing and delivering training programs, providing ongoing support, and ensuring the successful transfer of knowledge and skills to teachers and educators.

Key Responsibilities of TaRL Instructor:

1:Program Planning and Implementation:

  • Design comprehensive training programs aligned with the Recovery and Accelerated Learning Plan (ReAL Plan-2023/28) and the specific needs of target beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars using interactive techniques to promote active learning.
  • Develop the capacity of teachers and educators in facilitation, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Modify training materials to suit local contexts and ensure effectiveness.

2:Coordination and Communication:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partner organizations to align training efforts with program goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, students, parents, and community members to enhance project effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular follow-up meetings and provide periodic inputs to improve project outcomes.

3:Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs and evaluate learning progress.
  • Use formative assessments to track individual student growth and identify areas for additional support.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports on training outcomes and program effectiveness.

Required Qualification & Experience for TaRL Instructor:

  • Bachelor's or above in education or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering effective training programs in a development organization or similar.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation processes.

Required Skills & Competency for TaRL Instructor:

1:Communication and Knowledge Management Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Nepali and English.
  • Proficient in designing, facilitating, and delivering trainings.
  • Ability to deal with diverse audiences.

2:Interpersonal and Organizational Skills:

  • Collaborative team player with problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive and flexible, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong social skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
